Back in the last century at a souvenir shop at Circular Quay in Sydney at the age of fifteen I bought my first camera many cameras later my passion for photography is unchanged . I have been a member of camera clubs since 1980 and a F C C judge for 25 years judging at all levels up to National my enjoyment of the photographic image is a passion within me . From 1986 to 1992 I served on the F C C committee in 2000 I rejoined the F C C as V . President and in 2002 to 2006 I served as President . Acknowledge of service the Federation of Camera Clubs NSW have awarded me Hon. Life Membership and the Australian Photographic Society SSAPS . I retired in 2004 from the NSW Fire Brigades and my interest in photography has increased I have built up strong links with Chinese photographers both in Australia and China which I have visited on a number of occasions . During 2006 I led a tour group of 20 Australian photographers to China and a 160 print exhibition featuring 11 Australian photographers to Guangzhou in the Guangdong Province . The Guangdong Photographic Association brought to Australia a 100 print exhibition which was on display at Darling Harbour in Sydney this exhibition is still here and available for exhibition. In 2008 I was elected onto the Federation of Camera Clubs NSW committee as President during Sept. / Oct. I visited Vietnam for 18 days and came home with 4000 images . November 2008 I was invited to visit and over 13 days I travelled 4000 km meeting leaders of many photographic associations. June 2009 at the PMA Photo Imaging Show at Darling Harbour in Sydney their was a exhibition of Chinese Photography 100 Prints and 800 digital images with 12 senior photographers from China visiting Sydney I intend in 2010 to start leading photographers tours to China. ¡@ ¡@ |
